The App will ask you for a passcode when you add your Petrek's IMEI number, the passcode is 12345678.

To use your Petrek on additional phones simply login the app with the same apple, google, or traceez account or use the "Share" function in the app.

Please ensure that you thoroughly review this guide and watch the accompanying video guides in order to familiarize yourself with the operation of the tracker, including turning it on/off, charging, and using the app. While the user guide contains basic instructions, the videos offer a clearer understanding for most users. It is important to take the tracker outdoors and turn it on before downloading and navigating the app.

Otherwise, the tracker may display its last known location, typically in Taiwan. Our technicians occasionally conduct random tests in Whenuapai, Auckland, which may result in the tracker appearing to be in that location. However, once you add credit, take the tracker outside in an open area, and turn it on, it should accurately display your approximate location within the app setup.

Getting Started

1. Activate the SIM card

Open your Petrek GPS-4 Max packaging and locate the yellow activation sticker containing the QR code and SIM ID.

Scan the QR code to open the activation and payment page, then complete the first-year SIM credit payment. You will receive a reminder each year when the SIM credit and app service are due for renewal.

If the service remains unrenewed for more than three years, a SIM card replacement fee may apply.

2. Charge the tracker

While completing the activation, charge the tracker for at least 10 minutes using a suitable USB wall charger, such as a phone charger.

Do not charge it through a computer, laptop or low-powered USB outlet.

3. Turn the tracker on outdoors

Watch the video below showing how to switch on the tracker. Once turned on, leave it outdoors so it can connect to the mobile network and obtain a GPS location.
